Responsiblities

Collaborate closely with the Group Compliance Officer on the group-wide implementation and enhancement of reporting mechanisms for the executive board and board of directors, as well as on-site audits in various country subsidiaries. Engage in regular interactions with international group companies. Identify and update key legal and regulatory obligations, primarily focusing on Switzerland and the EU, along with conducting impact analyses. Derive actions related to products, distribution, AML CFT/KYC, market conduct rules, and financial market infrastructure. Participate in projects and initiatives, developing and introducing compliance frameworks, and drafting internal policies. Conduct periodic oversight using spot checks, walkthroughs, and joint audits. Provide support to operational units and other sectors on compliance-related issues.

Required Qualifications

A completed law degree (Master’s, preferably with a legal practice license or LL.M.) or a business master’s degree with additional training in legal and compliance. Extensive professional experience in legal, compliance, or risk management within an international financial services environment, or equivalent practice in consulting firms or regulatory authorities. Exceptional knowledge of Swiss financial market law, focusing on insurance supervisory and private insurance law, and understanding of developments in the EU legal framework. An initiative-driven individual with high resilience and a solution-oriented approach to business and risk-based thinking, coupled with analytical and conceptual skills. Fluent in German and English, written and spoken, with additional languages being advantageous.
