Associate Project Manager – Networks & Systems, Fribourg, Full Time

Job Description

An opportunity is available for a motivated Associate Project Manager with expertise in systems and network engineering. This role involves leading the infrastructure team and managing networks and systems across multiple regions including Europe, Africa, and Asia. The position requires participation in IT systems implementation and management across these continents.

Responsiblities

– Deliver effective IT support to users in European and remote locations in Africa and Asia. – Oversee technical support for IT products and services, including user training and diverse IT interventions. – Assist with administration tasks for IT networks and systems, incorporating servers, firewalls, wireless systems, and infrastructure components. – Manage IT equipment for subsidiaries, coordinating with local teams. – Support central infrastructure administration in Switzerland using technologies like VMware, Fortinet, Cisco, Citrix, MSSQL, MS Exchange, and SharePoint. – Supervise diverse IT infrastructure projects across Europe and Africa. – Undertake approximately 30 technical assignments annually across Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess knowledge in: – All versions of Windows Server and Windows operating systems – Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS – Networking protocols such as TCP/IP, LAN, WAN – SD-WAN, IPSec VPN, SSL VPN – Fortinet technologies including FortiManager and FortiAnalyser – VMware, and Citrix environments – MS Exchange and MS SQL Databases – Data backup systems such as VEEAM and Veritas BackupExec – IT hardware including servers, workstations, peripherals, and components – Project management within the IT domain – Proficiency in both English and French is required.
