IT System Engineer / DevOps Engineer Bern 80-100%

Job Description

Contribute to the security of Switzerland by working on a cutting-edge campus with a startup atmosphere following the DevSecOps model. Opportunities include remote work for up to two days a week and multiple locations for flexibility, along with a state-of-the-art infrastructure and innovation spaces.

Responsiblities

Guide clients and actively shape projects within an agile team framework. Oversee systems from inception through launch, including design, construction, and operation. Specify, evaluate, and configure infrastructure components for ICT platforms. Implement and migrate ICT platforms. Analyze malfunctions and errors, initiating measures to resolve them. Define service levels and escalation procedures. Maintain system technical documentation and encourage innovation and feedback culture within a customer-integrated approach.

Required Qualifications

A degree in computer science or a completed apprenticeship in IT with several years of experience is required, alternatively, career changers with IT further education are welcome. In-depth knowledge of virtualization, container technologies, Ansible, VMWare, Active Directory, and Windows and Linux systems is essential. Programming skills in Python, PowerShell, and Bash-Shell are needed whereas additional knowledge of Firewalls, NetApp, Kubernetes, and Docker is advantageous. Must exhibit an independent, proactive, and meticulous work style with a strong quality awareness. Excellent German skills are required, with English at B2 level being advantageous. Willingness to work in both Thun and Bern is also required.
