Job Description

Responsiblities

Collaborate closely with the Group Compliance Officer on the implementation and development of reporting for the executive board and the board of directors. Engage with foreign affiliates of the company group regularly. Identify and update essential legal and regulatory obligations with impact analysis primarily in Switzerland and the EU. Develop measures related to products, sales, AML CFT / KYC, market conduct rules, and financial market infrastructure. Participate in projects and initiatives, develop and introduce compliance frameworks, and draft internal regulations. Conduct periodic monitoring such as sampling, walkthroughs, joint audits, to ensure adherence to relevant legal and internal regulations. Assist operational departments with compliance-related inquiries.

Required Qualifications

Completed law degree (Master, preferably with bar exam and/or LL.M.) or a business master’s degree with additional training in Legal & Compliance. Extensive professional experience in Legal, Compliance, or Risk Management within an international financial services firm or equivalent practice in a consulting firm or regulatory authority. Excellent knowledge of Swiss financial market law focusing on insurance supervision and private insurance law with an understanding of European legal frameworks (Solvency II, DORA, EU AI Act, AML CFT, sanctions & embargoes). Proactive personality with high resilience, solution-oriented economic and risk-based thinking with analytical and conceptual skills. Proficient in German and English (Legal Business English), additional languages advantageous. Skilled in using MS Office and familiar with market-standard compliance tools. Travel requirement up to 10% as necessary.
