Associate Investment Manager for Private Equity Zürich Full-Time

Job Description

The company is a private equity secondaries investor located in Zurich, focused on non-traditional secondaries markets. Since its founding in 2019, the firm has experienced rapid growth and now advises on funds with commitments over EUR 700m. As they build on recent fundraising success and face exciting new investment opportunities, they seek a new Associate to join their team. This position provides a remarkable chance for candidates to enter one of the most dynamic and innovative sectors of the private equity industry, collaborating with an ambitious and entrepreneurial team.

Responsiblities

The role involves performing due diligence on secondary investments, which includes conducting market research, financial modeling, structuring, and analyzing comparable companies. Additionally, it requires preparing investment recommendations for the investment committee, monitoring transactions post-acquisition, and addressing any specific requests. The Associate will support deal origination efforts and is expected to develop their own network over time, as well as supervise and train analysts and interns.

Required Qualifications

The position requires an excellent undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or natural sciences, along with 2-4 years of experience in a top-tier investment bank, ideally with exposure to private equity or investment analysis. The candidate should have proven experience in market research and investment analysis, advanced financial modeling skills, and a thorough understanding of financial statements with good commercial judgment. Candidates should be team players with entrepreneurial mindsets, strong work ethics, and the ability to prioritize. Proficiency in English is required, with additional languages such as French, Italian, or any Nordic language being a strong asset. Eligibility to work in Zürich, Switzerland is necessary.

Offer

The position offers the opportunity to join a successful and ambitious team driven by shared goals, work directly with the founders and experienced professionals, and enjoy flat hierarchies in a meritocratic environment. Competitive compensation includes a base salary, bonus, and carried interest.
