Associate Project Manager IT Specialist Fribourg Full-Time

Job Description

For this exciting opportunity, we are looking for an experienced Associate Project Manager with a background in systems and network engineering. The selected candidate will lead the infrastructure team and manage networks and systems, ensuring efficient operation throughout Europe, Africa, and Asia. This versatile role is suitable only for candidates who are Swiss, EU/EFTA citizens, or those who possess a valid Swiss work permit.

Responsiblities

– Deliver top-notch IT support to users across Europe and at remote sites in Africa and Asia. – Coordinate and provide technical support for IT products and services, including interventions and user training. – Assist in the administration of IT networks and systems, ensuring servers, firewalls, and wireless setups are optimized. – Oversee IT equipment at subsidiaries, working closely with local teams to ensure consistency and efficiency. – Manage central infrastructure administration in Switzerland using tools like VMware, Fortinet, Cisco, and Citrix. – Lead various IT projects across Europe and Africa, maintaining high standards of project management and execution. – Conduct up to 30 technical missions annually across Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this role, one must have robust knowledge of Windows Server and all Windows operating systems, proficiency with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and IIS. Familiarity with TCP/IP, LAN/WAN networks, SD-WAN setups, and VPN configurations is essential. A strong understanding of Fortinet systems, VMware, Citrix, and database management through MS Exchange and MS SQL is mandatory. Prior experience with data backup systems like VEEAM or Veritas BackupExec and comprehensive IT hardware knowledge is required. The ability to effectively manage IT projects and fluency in both English and French are crucial for success.
