Responsiblities

Collaborate closely with the Group Compliance Officer in implementing and developing reporting for the executive management and board of directors. Conduct on-site checks within country subsidiaries on matters such as anti-money laundering (AML), counter-financing of terrorism (CFT), and more. Regular interaction with foreign subsidiaries of the Group to identify and update major legal and regulatory obligations, including impact analysis. Develop measures regarding products, distribution, AML/CFT/KYC, market conduct rules, and financial market infrastructure. Participate in projects and initiatives to develop and introduce compliance frameworks and draft internal rules. Regularly monitor, through sampling, adherence to legal norms and internal regulations. Support operational departments with compliance-related inquiries.

Required Qualifications

Possess a completed law degree (Master’s, preferably with a bar exam or LL.M.) or a business administration master’s degree with additional training in Legal & Compliance. Extensive professional experience in Legal, Compliance, or Risk Management within an international financial services firm, or equivalent experience in consulting or regulatory bodies. Excellent and broad expertise in Swiss financial market law, especially in insurance supervisory law and private insurance law, and knowledge of developments in European legal frameworks. An initiative-taking personality with high resilience, solution-oriented business and risk-based thinking, and strong analytical and conceptual skills. Proficient in German and English, additional languages are advantageous. Skilled in MS Office applications and familiar with standard compliance tools.
