Job Description

This position is with a top-tier international insurance firm, seeking an expert in property underwriting. The role requires overseeing the underwriting process, aligning with company strategies and risk profiles, and ensuring optimal business opportunities are seized. The chosen candidate must actively contribute to market strategy through a detailed understanding of property risks and trends.

Responsiblities

The role involves crafting and executing underwriting strategies, facilitating business growth while respecting corporate risk appetites. This includes coordinating risk evaluations, monitoring market trends and risks, and fostering cooperation across company departments. Key duties also entail developing strong relations with brokers and clients through meetings and events, ensuring the company leads in opportunities.

Required Qualifications

Candidates need extensive experience in commercial property markets, particularly in Austria, France, and Switzerland. A keen understanding of market trends, insurance wordings, and practices in both insurance and reinsurance is vital. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills are essential, with fluency in English and proficiency in French and/or German being critical.
