A prominent global reinsurance organization seeks a motivated individual to work in catastrophe risk assessment. Join a team dedicated to understanding and managing risk in the insurance sector.
Responsiblities
Execute requests related to catastrophe modeling, ensuring detailed analysis of exposure data. Utilize cat models to generate insights, communicate results effectively, and investigate changes in risk over time. Assist in quarterly portfolio modeling and support compliance with regulatory requirements. Enhance the organization’s modeling frameworks and contribute to the optimization of internal software tools, while maintaining comprehensive documentation of procedures.
Required Qualifications
Possess a master’s degree in a relevant scientific or quantitative field. Demonstrate superb organizational and prioritization skills, and an ability to meet deadlines. Showcase proactive, pragmatic problem-solving abilities with a strong inclination towards self-directed initiatives. Exhibit solid programming skills in either R or Python, with familiarity in relational databases, ideally MSSQL. Excellent proficiency in English communication (written and verbal) is required; additional languages are an asset. 1-3 years of professional experience is beneficial but not essential.
