Job Description

This position is with a prominent leader in financial services software, focused on enhancing access to financial services and pioneering advancements in the industry. The technology provided powers essential solutions in areas such as Lending, Payments, and Universal Banking for a vast clientele, including a significant portion of the top global banks. The role necessitates a technical expert who can collaborate closely with clients, particularly focusing on AML and payment teams, to facilitate the configuration and tuning of screening solutions.

Responsiblities

The role involves implementing, configuring, and supporting payment transaction screening solutions, particularly targeting AML and sanctions screening. As a technical adviser, the consultant will aid client AML and payments teams in refining screening logic and algorithms, addressing the implications of inaccuracies like false positives and negatives. Responsibilities include direct technical tasks such as managing Linux access, analyzing log files, configuring SFTP, and integrating systems using MQ and REST APIs. The consultant will also lead technical investigations to enhance products in response to client-reported incidents, offering detailed root-cause analysis and resolution advice.

Required Qualifications

The candidate should possess an in-depth understanding of payment transaction processing and AML environments. Familiarity with Linux or Unix systems, SQL databases, and technical application integrations using SFTP, REST API, and MQ is required. The role calls for a practical solution-oriented individual who can elucidate intricate technical and risk-related issues to clients. Proficiency in both English and German is necessary, with an advantage given to candidates fluent in French or Italian. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field, along with extensive experience in financial services, banking, payments, or a regulated fintech environment, is essential.
