Treasury Operations Specialist in Basel – Full Time

Job Description

In this dynamic role, you will contribute to a variety of operations, including cash management, foreign exchange, money markets, and securities lending and borrowing. Your influence will extend to collateral management and ensuring the security of cash balances by meticulously monitoring and reconciling active positions across global markets.

Responsiblities

Provide support to the main trading desk for all treasury-related tasks. Oversee and manage end-to-end collateral operations such as bookings, payments, and reporting. Handle the complete lifecycle of interest rate swaps, cross-currency swaps, and credit default swaps. Supervise over-the-counter derivatives risk reconciliation processes and prepare timely reports on regulatory controls and essential business indicators for internal stakeholders. Analyze and resolve outstanding reconciliation discrepancies. Cultivate cooperative teamwork with internal operations groups and business divisions both locally and internationally. Assist the department head with managing key projects and urgent ad-hoc assignments.

Required Qualifications

A background in business or economics or a completed apprenticeship within a financial services firm is required. At least 3 to 5 years of experience in treasury is essential. Strong interpersonal skills accompanied by high motivation and adaptability in a challenging and dynamic environment are crucial, along with a commitment to team culture. Capability to organize and prioritize personal workload is necessary. Occasional assignments on Swiss bank holidays may be required, alternating with team members. Familiarity with systems such as Trioptima, Markitwire, and Avaloq is beneficial. Proficiency in English and German is mandatory.
