Supervisor of High Voltage Laboratory Region Mittelland – Full-Time

Job Description

This position involves guiding a team within a high-voltage lab, focused on ensuring top-tier preparation and execution of high-voltage cable installations and tests. Upholding stringent safety and quality standards is crucial.

Responsiblities

Oversee daily team functions in the high-voltage lab; Coordinate and set up cable systems and associated equipment (up to 500 kV); Assist in jointing processes at various labs and client locations; Supervise testing setups and provide support during the execution of high-voltage tests; Manage logistics related to cable preparation; Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality assurance; Enhance the reliability and quality of test executions; Mentor and develop team skills; Foster a strong culture centered around safety and responsibility; Collaborate with R&D and project teams to enhance jointing methods.

Required Qualifications

Possess a technical background in electrical, mechanical, or metalwork fields; Extensive practical experience in high-voltage operations; Proven supervisory experience in similar fields; Exemplary leadership and team coordination capabilities; Strong problem-solving skills and solution-driven mindset; Ability to operate independently with a sense of accountability; Experience in international and multifaceted work environments; Readiness to travel abroad (20–30%); Proficient in English, with German and Italian as advantageous; Valid driving license.
