Mid-Level Embedded Software Developer Deutschschweiz Full-Time

Job Description

This position invites individuals who are passionate about new prospects and wish to make a substantial impact. The role is perfect for those who have expertise in C++ and embedded software development and are eager to apply their skills in exciting, multidisciplinary projects.

Responsiblities

As a software developer, you will create software solutions using C++ for embedded and desktop applications, write low-level software for microcontrollers such as ARM Cortex-M and STM32, and work closely with the electronics team to ensure smooth integration of software and hardware. You will manage the entire software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation. Conducting code reviews and implementing automated testing to maintain high software quality will be a key part of your role. Additionally, you will assist in the commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of prototypes and products, and partake in international development projects involving teams across different time zones.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field, along with several years of experience in C++ software development, ideally with modern C++17 or newer. A strong grounding in embedded programming and low-level development, including register access and peripheral control, is essential. Familiarity with standard embedded toolchains, debuggers, version control, and build systems is required. Applicants should possess an analytical and structured approach to work, a strong sense of responsibility, team collaboration skills, excellent German (spoken and written), fluency in English, with French as an advantage.

Offer

You will benefit from a modern work environment, an open company culture, and a team-focused atmosphere. A transparent communication policy ensures that you will work in a collaborative environment, both dynamic and international in scope. The role offers diverse tasks and opportunities for intercultural collaboration on global projects.
