Senior Operations/Back-Office Manager Genève 60-80%

Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to join a leading financial institution located in the heart of Geneva, where traditional finance intersects with the innovative world of digital assets. Our organization stands out as a trailblazer in asset management technology, providing a broad spectrum of services that includes secure asset custody, asset tokenization, and customized banking solutions tailored for banks, asset managers, and corporate clients. With a passionate team of around 100 individuals and an entrepreneurial spirit that fosters rapid growth, we are making significant strides across Europe, propelled by a top-tier technical team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in financial services.

Responsiblities

In this role, you will take charge of comprehensive operations management involving securities, cash, and digital assets, overseeing all facets including trades, deposits, withdrawals, and various corporate actions. Your precision in conducting daily reconciliations and resolving discrepancies will be essential. You will maintain the integrity of security information while nurturing strong banking relationships. Furthermore, ensuring accurate accounting through advanced middleware and core banking systems is paramount. You will produce detailed reports in compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements. Your role will also involve implementing checks and balances for transaction compliance, while you act as a technological liaison to enhance platform functionalities and swiftly address any issues. Additionally, you will support compliance efforts and manage client information with efficiency.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a relevant field, complemented by over 8 years of hands-on experience in back-office operations within regulated financial environments such as banks or fintech firms. Demonstrated leadership skills in managing small teams are crucial. A thorough understanding of settlement processes, reconciliation, and regulatory frameworks surrounding both traditional and modern digital assets is required. Candidates with a keen interest in the cryptocurrency sector will find this role especially appealing, although direct experience in this area is advantageous. A highly organized individual with a strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and meticulous attention to detail is required. Fluency in English is essential, while advanced proficiency in French will be considered a significant asset in the Geneva market.

Offer

Joining our team means gaining direct access to the company’s leadership, granting you substantial influence and visibility from the very beginning of your journey. You will experience a rare combination of high compliance demands alongside the integration of groundbreaking digital assets within our operations. This position carries significant responsibility in a rapidly expanding European fintech company. Moreover, we promote a harmonious work-life balance through hybrid working arrangements and flexible hours, all within a dynamic and supportive team environment.
