Supervisor of High Voltage Laboratory Region Mittelland Full-Time

Job Description

This position focuses on managing a team dedicated to high-voltage electrical cables. Key responsibilities include ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in preparing, installing, and executing high-voltage cable systems for testing. The role involves supporting both internal laboratory operations and onsite field activities, striving for excellence in all procedures.

Responsiblities

Coordinate daily activities within the high-voltage lab, organizing the preparation and installation of cables and accessories capable of handling up to 500 kV. Supervise the installation processes for test loops and oversee laboratory setups. Effective management of logistics and cable handling is essential for timely and efficient operations. Ensure full compliance with safety and quality regulations, while constantly monitoring for improvements. Train and develop the team, fostering a culture of safety and accountability. Engage in collaboration with various departments such as R&D and ensure alignment in practices across different regions.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a technical background in electrical engineering, mechanics, or metalworking, with substantial experience in high-voltage cable jointing. Proven supervisory experience in field activities or construction projects is required. Skills such as leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to operate in cross-functional international settings are essential. The role requires a willingness to travel internationally with a valid driving license and a good command of English. Knowledge of German and Italian would be advantageous.
